Is microneedling the same as fibroblast?

Both microneedling and fibroblast are effective treatments for the skin. Well, not only do they work perfectly smoothly as easy treatments to renew the facial skin, but they also work for the rest of the body.

However, microneedling and fibroblast are not the same. That's right! We are talking about minimally invasive cosmetic procedures that guarantee benefits to physical health, but have important differences between them.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that is applied to improve the appearance of the skin by stimulating collagen production. But what does the procedure consist of? Well, it's very simple:

  • It is a cosmetic procedure of micropuncture on the skin and penetration of active ingredients in the dermal/epidermal region.
  • It is used to treat a variety of imperfections, i.e. cellulite, scars, spots, and flaccidity. To achieve this, a special device known as the "Activator Pen" is used. With which a controlled skin lesion of just a few millimeters is made to activate cellular activity.
  • This cell activation promotes growth factors for the production of collagen and elastin.
  • Another great advantage is that it produces a temporary and painless mechanical alteration that enhances the absorption of active ingredients from the first session.

What is fibroblast?

Fibroblast therapy, on the other hand, is applied with a device called Plasma Pen Fibroblast. It uses high-technology carbonization to remove spots, scars, and excess skin. But, without pain or bleeding.

This is achieved with the power of plasma. Which comes into contact with the skin generating an electric arc that contracts the first layers of the skin to stimulate the activity of fibroblast cells, responsible for the production of collagen.

This, in general terms, guarantees:

  • Instant results without pain or side effects: The heat is transferred to the surrounding tissues without causing thermal damage.
  • Reduction of wrinkles, excess skin, spots, and scars instantly: Skin heals properly in a short time, regardless of type.

Differences between microneedling y fibroblast

Although both treatments promote the production of collagen and other active ingredients, the differences are mainly based on the types of devices and functions they perform:

  • Microneedling: Cosmetic micro-needling procedure performed with a special pen with microneedles, known as "Activator Pen" or "Dermapen". With which small channels are opened to promote collagen synthesis.
  • Fibroblast: Cosmetic procedure with plasma that depends on the Plasma Pen Fibroblast device. Its function is to ionize the gases in the air to create a controlled electric arc (plasma) that upon contact with the skin layers, activates the fibroblast cells in favor of the production of collagen and elastin.

Then, we have to:

  • Microneedling: Microneedling treatment.
  • Fibroblast: Plasma therapy.

Can both techniques be combined?

Both procedures are exceptionally safe and can be combined to achieve definitive results in a shorter time. However, the application of both techniques depends on the specialist's assessment.
